Changes & Key Features
The Cadillac XT5 no longer has the Platinum trim, although some features are available as standalone options or bundled. The standard turbocharged engine gives you 235 horsepower, and the optional V6 produces 310 horsepower. In testing, the all-wheel-drive accelerated to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds, and the 2.0-liter turbo and front-wheel-drive reached 60 mph in 7.6 seconds. More key features of the XT5 include:

Trim Levels
The base Luxury trim of the Cadillac XT5 includes perks such as an AM/FM stereo with an eight-inch diagonal color information display, four USBs, two auxiliary power outlets, personalized profiles for each driver's settings, Natural Voice Recognition, and Teen Driver. Three Years of OnStar is also standard.
With the mid-level Premium Luxury trim, you get Cadillac XT5 perks such as a sunroof, a power UltraView double-sized glass roof that opens over the first row, tilt-sliding with an Express-Open and power sunshade. With the Memory Package, you get two presets for the power driver seat, outside mirrors, and a power tilt and telescoping steering column. You also get a dual-zone automatic climate control system with individual climate settings for the driver and front passenger.
In the top-level Sport trim, drivers receive all-wheel drive and perks, including an Advanced Security Package with a steering column lock, a door lock and latch shields, a self-powered Theft-Deterrent Alarm System, and an inclination sensor. With the XT5 Sport trim, you get lighting accents, deep-tinted glass, door handles, hands-free lift-gate, rear spoilers, and added safety features such as outdoor heated mirrors with integrated turn signals.
Fuel Economy
The front-wheel-drive XT5 with the turbocharged four-cylinder earned an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 22 MPG in the city, 29 MPG on the highway, and 24 MPG combined. If you opt for the V6, the MPG ratings are 19 in the city, 26 on the highway, and 21 combined. The optional all-wheel drive rates at 75-mph highway fuel economy and the all-wheel-drive XT5 with the V6 delivered 23 MPG. The front-wheel-drive model with the turbocharged four-cylinder came in at 29 MPG with fuel economy.
Interior Styling and Safety Features
Passenger space is good. Materials used throughout the cabin are upscale. You get plenty of cargo space, bins for smaller items, and an easy-to-fold rear seat. Safety features include Intellibeam, auto headlight assist, and seven standard airbags. Other safety features include:

Warranty Coverage
Cadillac offers standard warranty coverage. It's on par with what's offered by the automaker's rivals. You also get complimentary scheduled maintenance. However, it only covers the first visit. The limited warranty covers four years or 50,000 miles. The power-train warranty covers six years or 70,000 miles.
